Carlos D´I Puerto Orchestra feat. Jari Sillanpää

(CUBA/FIN)
Afro-Cuban, pop, salsa

A large band hand-picked and led by a Cuban bass master join forces with Finland’s number one entertainer. The menu includes Cuban classics, Latin pop and Sillanpää-hits, specially chosen

by the singer and completely cubanized by D’l Puerto. With his numerous hits and Eurovision performance Jari Sillanpää is a true professional and a much-loved figure in Finland, but now the

velvet throat reveals a new side of himself.

Classically schooled in Havana’s Amadeo Roldan Conservatory, Carlos D’l Puerto is one of Cuba’s topmost bass players, a great composer/arranger and a highly in-demand bass teacher all

over the world. Living in Finland for some years now, Carlos was one of the founding members of the legendary Irakere in 1973. He has played with Dizzy Gillespie, Bill Evans and many other luminaries and

performs on countless records. His latest album is the excellent Impacto Cubano. The orchestra is made of Cuban and Finnish musicians.
