Festival year 2017
Pori Jazz 2017 offered a diverse high-quality program, which the media rated as one of the most prestigious festivals to date. The artists included among others Jamiroquai, Herbie Hancock, Brian Wilson, Grace Jones, Chaka Khan and Erykah Badu. The Ted Curson Award went to saxophonist Pauli Lyytinen and Max Zenger was awarded as the rising talent. The three main concerts were attended by 59 000 people and the total admission of the festival was 346 000. The main concert on Saturday, July 15th was the most popular one gathering some 25 000 people to the Kirjurinluoto Concert Park. Other venues of the festival included LähiTapiola Stage, Café Jazz and the Keski-Pori Church.
