Rita Lovely & The Soultwisters
Rita Lovely & The Soultwisters is one of the leading soul names in their native country Finland. An instrumental band of four since 2005 got new power a few years ago with the soloist Rita Lovely, a brilliant black music interpreter. While performing, the band expands to an eight-member rhythm orchestra. They perform live on a regular basis and have even held their own club in Helsinki called Boogaloo-night.
The freshman single Soulpudding was released by British Mukatsuku Records in 2008. Their first studio album Soup Is Hot was released in January 2009 by Finnish Texicalli Records. Japanese P-Vine released the album in 2010 as well. The album of soul and funk has been played on radios all over the world and songs have been for instance been playlisted by BBC. The songs from the first album have been released on various compilations in Finland and in Japan.
Rita Lovely & The Soultwisters released a studio album titled Fast Love on February 15, 2012. A sophomore album by a five member orchestra is a tough package of dance soul, boogaloo and traces from the dance floor of love. Album is being released by Texicalli / Jupiter in Finland.
