The highly groove-oriented guitarist has operated in jazz and blues from 1980 onwards. He has done three albums so far, Uni and Sakura under the name Cuccone. The latter features the great US bass player Ron McLure, while Kukkonen’s current trio has two extremely groovalistic players: drummer Jaska Lukkarinen (Dalindèo, Honey B & The T-Bones, Ricky-Tick Big Band) and Greek organist Giorgios Kontrafouris.
