Ken Peplowski's Benny Goodman Contennial Celebration
Fluent on alto, tenor and clarinet, Ken Peplowski is known as one of America’s leading swing-revivalists.
Buddy Morrow discovered Peplowski, when he was still a college boy, and got him hired by the famous Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, where he played clarinet and alto. After studying jazz some more with Sonny
Stitt, Ken ended up as a tenorist in Benny Goodman’s last band in the middle-80’s. From the 90’s onwards Peplowski has recorded several albums with his swing band for the Concord label, all
of them highly valued by swing enthusiasts.
