Perhaps the hardest-working man in Swedish jazz, both as a player and a composer, Jonas Kullhammar brings to Pori his celebrated quartet. They play highly energetic modern jazz. It has won them lots of

praise on all of their six albums.

Blowing his saxes with a dense spirit and dynamic rhythmic flow that remind one of young Sonny Rollins, Kullhammar struck Swedsh jazz scene at the dawn of the millennium like a whirlwind. He plays in

several different bands, like Nacka Forum, Gyldene Trio, Andtratx and Kullrusk, who attack jazz with amplified horns and play it as it were rock. Jonas has won many jazz awards in his home country and was

chosen Musician of the Year two times in row. Being a much-in-demand horn man and having a very catchy sense of humour, he appears on records by The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Eldkvarn,

The Plan and Sonic Mechatronik Arkestra, to name just a few.
